Who We Are
Mullane Literary Associates is an independent literary agency with an emphasis on idea-driven nonfiction, especially in the areas of history, science, politics, narrative nonfiction, nature/environment, sports, mind/body/spirit, and a small list of literary/commercial fiction. Agency founder Deirdre Mullane has more than three decades of experience as a publishing executive, working as publicist, editor, publisher, agent, and author. The agency’s strength is working with clients with deep expertise and an established platform to shape and publish complex books accessible to the broadest general audience. Our books include both prize-winning titles and national bestsellers and are consistently reviewed in top-tier media. What We Do
We are extremely hands-on, working with our authors at every stage of the process, from book proposal and manuscript development, to publication and marketing, to foreign and subsidiary rights sales.
